After playing mostly Call of Duty for years, I have began to play BF3, which is one of the hottest games/FPS of the moment. I got it for Xmas from my wife and it has been quite a bit of fun. The campaign I must admit is mediocre. There are a lot of different actions you need to perform by clicking certain buttons at certain times, basically short mini-games that pop up sporadically, and they are very annoying. At least they are annoying to me. The other big issue I have with the single player play through is the fact that a lot of the checkpoints are found at the end of long stretches, that seem to always start with tedious tasks ending on a challenging part. What this means is that a lot of the times I die, I end up having to go through a long series of boring parts before I can get back to the action, where I actually died. It's just bad like that, they could have easily made checkpoints at more strategic positions that would prevent me from repeating parts of missions I didn't enjoy the first time, so definitely won't enjoy for the fifth time.
Just today I got to try the Co-op missions, and they are great fun to play with friends online. Some are a bit buggy and challenging on the wrong spots, but overall it has been a lot of fun. The multiplayer is also great, it doesn't seem like every single person is a FPS god, and only rarely you end up in games where clearly a clan is playing against you, destroying everything with ease.
